2007 Baseball Non Conference Away Games

I was looking at the 2007 baseball schedule and it looks like the Aggies are playing only one non conference away game (Rice) besides the games played in the Houston Tournament. Am I reading that right?

That plus Texas State at the Dell Diamond. That is pretty normal for major conference teams though. The sips only played 5 road OOC games this year (no tourneys).

Thanks, I missed that Texas State game. In comparison OSU played 14 non conferences away games, if you include the three games that they play OU in Tulsa (1) and OKC (2) every year.

I guess our athletic department knows that we don't have to play that many, so why do it? There are so many high quality smaller programs in Texas that jump at the chance to play at Olsen. We get a good game and we get a home game. Sounds good to me.

Also, I'm sure that next year we'll be playing Oregon State and Florida on the road since they were home this time.

OSU plays in several southern tournaments early in the year where the weather is good. I think they played in 2 tournaments and 3 games @ Cal State and got in a total of 9 games.
