What Hendricks Motorsports is doing with the COT is amazing. But, I still do not like Jeff Gordon.

Yeah, that sport is horrible in that regard. Although you can't really blame one guy over all of them since the nature of the sport makes them all responsible.

I like Jeff because I think he gets a bum rap because he's not from the south. People get all bent out of shape because some guy from up north came down and started winning races. When really he is just a hell of a nice guy doing his job. He doesn't even care that most people hate him now.

The sport has gotten bad in that respect, but Gordon is probably the worst about it.

Where Gordon's from isn't the reason why people don't like him. There are plenty of popular drivers from the north (or the west, since he's kinda from CA)--Stewart, Edwards, Busches, etc. It's just Gordon.

Coming on when Dale Sr. was around and at the top didn't help, though.

They dont like him because when he first hit the scene he was REALLY good and knew he was really good. Hes from California and a pretty boy...

with those three working against him, they "hate him"

when he retires he'll be loved. Dale Sr was hated and we all know how that turned out
