PS3 vs. 360

What do you plan on getting in the near future? Personally I am stuck with a PS2 for now (which is fine I guess) but I could see myself getting a PS3 or 360 in 2007.

Right now its hands down 360 if you want a gaming console. The PS3 cost more then the 360, not to mention the massive amount of games and the looming release of Halo 3 will definently keep the 360 ahead of the PS3 for a long time.

Now if you don't want to spend that much money and am just looking for a console to sit down and have fun at for a little while or you plan on playing with some friends. Try out the Wii, its really fun and comes with all sorts of mini-games, and with the new controller system it sets up for hours of non-stop action.

ive got a 360.... i was planning on getting a ps3 in a few years when you can get one w/o taking out a loan but there really is becoming less and less of a need to get one over a 360. sony really could be screwed this generation because of their price.

I'm fine sticking with my ps2 for the time being. I'll probably wait until the next advancement in systems come out before buying a 360 or ps3.

Yeah, I'll jump in and say 360.

1. Cheaper
2. Live play is awesome (although I have never played the ps3 online) but everyone tends to lean towards xbox live as the best place to play live games. I play Call of Duty 3 every night before bed. I use to read but......

3. Probably more important there isn't nothing you can play on the ps3 that you can't play on the 360. Just looking ahead at whats down the pipe for ps3 exclusive games and I'm really not interested. They have Metal Gear but I was never into that. All the heavy hitters like Grand Theft Auto are coming to both systems. Plus the 360 has Halo and Gears of War as exclusives which are must plays. Hopefully they do the smart thing and crank those out every other year so we have one or the other every year. Two years is plenty of time to get a game like that out if you start immediately and don't screw around.

coolaid... i kinda agree with you but i really would like to see more good games that arent shooters on the 360.

Mass Effect is a good start although that has some shooting elements. Im gonna get C&C3 this weekend because im a big rts fan and halo wars next year will probably rock.

But one genre ms needs more of is the "god of war" genre. They are making an effort with overlord (which is a sweet looking game nobody is talking about) and too human. But Its kinda funny because Im actually interested in games more that arent shooters because they arent shooters. (gears and halo dont apply here because they will both rock... i like 1 maybe 2 shooter games each year and thats all i want to play)

But I was like you... I looked at the ps3's exclusive lineup and really didnt find that much that i really was interested in.... maybe some heavenly sword or lair.

Actually I'm really pumped for C&C3 as well... I played 1 and 2 on the PC and loved them. It is something diferent that I haven't done in awhile so I'm looking forward to it. Just want to see how they pull that off on a console. There is lots of point and clicks in games like that.

they had a demo... you can get a pretty good idea on how it plays from that..... but the demo is actually what sealed me getting this game. i really really liked it.

I have to go with the PS3, but i am looking 2-3 years down the road. The 360 right now is the better console by a long shot, but when PS3 games get rolling it will shoot past 360. but if you are buying today get the 360 and hold out for ps3 in a year or so

Bought command and conquer 3 today. Will play it tonight. Hope it's good!

i got mine this weekend.... its awesome. spent ~4 hrs on it last night playing through the campaigns.
