Upload Photos

How do you upload to the gallery?

Go to the gallery (shortcut on the menu bar above).
Click on the "Upload" link.
In the drop-down menu (on the left) select the category you want to put the pics in (appropriate category) & hit continue...
You should be able to do the rest from there...

I must be missing something, I don't have an upload button. It's like I dont have rights.

Yeah, I don't think everyone has rights to upload. (So some random person don't upload a lot of inappropriate photos.)

Then will someone with the right permission upload the wallpapers that Stobie created? Those are awesome and deserve to be in the gallery so others can view them later.

If no one objects, is there a possibly giving me rights to upload. I have no problem doing so, and if I get anymore Ag related stuff like this I can just do that.

actually i know why you could upload and stobie couldn't.... all of our "paid" accounts can upload into the gallery. i dont know if we purposely did that but its a pretty good idea.

no, I included the first 3 12th man wallpapers ("12th man is coming") b/c I think those are as cool as the other 12 you did...

I included the one's you put out yesterday as well.

fyi im gonna test something for a while.... i took off the moderated thing for paid accounts so when you upload stuff it will be instantly there. as long as people dont upload stupid crap/porn etc.

If people abuse it we will have to go back to moderated uploads. but this should alleviate the need for us to get reminded when there is stuff to approve.

Just FYI, everything in the gallery gets the aggiefans logo on it automatically. So, if you're wondering why you're images changed, that's why.

Not that I am complaining but doing that do you not then take the credit as your own rather then the person who created it, just because you put your logo on it. I know its because you host the image but shouldnt it say hosted by...?

Yeah, we should change that auto image. In fact, it's still an old logo, so it needed to be changed anyway. I'll see if I can get something made tonight and have vlyjag replace the old one.

as for the logo ut some space around it this time so it doesnt appear in the absolute bottom right corner.

its good in the bottom right corner in my opinion... kind of out of the way but you know its there.

yeah i was talking put about 10 pixels of space between the bottom of the image and the aggiefans logo. just so its not in the absolute bottom right corner.

might just be something to live with in order to have your stuff in the gallery. it is a privilege to have something in there.

The logo is not intended to take credit. Instead it is a watermark so that images can't be hotlinked from our site (IE, Texags) without people knowing where it came from.
