Say what you want about Schilling, his ego, and his need to be in the spotlight, but what he said about Bonds on the radio yesterday took some major stones. Sure, it might have just been his way of getting himself talked about today (it worked). Regardless, I wish more athletes would speak their minds about stuff like this instead of always being so PC.

Boston plays SF in Boston during interleague play. I would love to see Schilling pitch to Bonds.

I mean, he admitted that he used steroids," Schilling said during his weekly appearance on sports radio WEEI's "Dennis and Callahan" show. "I mean, there's no gray area. He admitted to cheating on his wife, cheating on his taxes, and cheating on the game, so I think the reaction around the league, the game, being what it is, in the case of what people think. Hank Aaron not being there. The commissioner [Bud Selig] trying to figure out where to be. It's sad.

"And I don't care that he's black, or green, or purple, or yellow, or whatever. It's unfortunate … there's good people and bad people. It's unfortunate that it's happening the way it's happening.

Yeah, saw that on SC last night...
Followed by:
It should be noted that:
1) Bonds never admitted to using steroids, cheating on his wife, or his taxes
and
2) Fellow Red Sox teammate called for more "civility" in the dealings w/ Barry Bonds (paraphrasing)...

SC was completely on Bonds' junk...

It doesn't bother me if guys publicly want to state how they truly feel about Bonds and how he is representing baseball. However, I don't agree with Schilling going on the air and stating that it is a fact the guy cheated on his taxes, his wife, etc. I think Bonds took steroids (just like I think OJ killed Nicole), but don't make all these accusations as facts until they have been proven. Besides, it was Schilling complaining last week about the media getting their facts correct when his bloody sock was being questioned.

Maybe Bonds hasn't ever said that he cheated on his wife or his taxes, but we all know that Schilling is telling the truth....

I thought Bonds did admitt to using the clear (a steroid) but did not know what it was....and that was leaked form the grand jury testimony....so yes he used them and he claims he did not know what it was at the time

Like I said, I think he knowingly took steroids, but I have never heard it being a fact. I remember what you are talking about, but if that is the case, then why is it still being debated that he took them. Whether you "know " it or not, you still take them. That is like saying all the weed you found in my backpack is not my weed.

If you believe the "leaked" testimony, then he admitted to unknowingly using steroids. There is no doubt in my mind that Mr. Potatohead knew good and well that he was using roids.
