Austin's Lance Armstrong says --"I plan to give it everything I have" -- in tomorrow's climactic
time trial in the Tour de France.
The race against the clock should determine the top riders'
standings ahead of Sunday's final, largely ceremonial ride into
Paris. That's when the 33-year-old Texan's expected to collect his
seventh straight Tour title before retiring.
He remains on track for the title after maintaining his
two-minute, 46-second overall lead after today's 19th stage.
Armstrong calculates five more hours in his career as a cyclist.
He says -- "I'm not terribly sad about that."
Italy's Giuseppe Guerini won the stage, with Armstrong riding in the main pack behind. Guerini zoomed away from three other riders approaching the finishing point of the last stage before the tomorrow's final time trial.
