Aggie Baseball moves in the polls

Interesting moves in the polls for the Ags after going 3-1 last week. I think the USA Today poll and Baseball America are pretty accurate, even though I was surprised we moved up that much. Not sure what the Collegiate Baseball writers are smoking.

We don’t need to pay much attention to the polls, but do need to pay attention to the Boyd’s World ISR and RPI. That will be a good indication of where we will end up in the tourney. Right now, we are #8 in the RPI which would put us with the possibility of getting a Super Regional. Our mid week success and our wins against ranked teams has really helped us out. However, that loss to Baylor yesterday dropped us 2 whole spots in the RPI. To have any chance of hosting a Super, I think we must sweep DBU, and win 4 or 5 of our last 6 against KSU and t.u.

We still have a lot of work to do. Facing tu will be a tough challenge. They are playing well. I hope we finish strong and get a Super.

I've heard lots of talk. With our RPI and an above avg finish we're in.

To have a chance at a Super, at a minimum, we have to sweep DBU, win 4 of 6 against K-State and t.u., and have a good showing in the conference tourney. Anything less and we are hosting first round only. We need to root for everyone around us in the polls to lose as well.

how is Rice ranked so well? Didn't they lose a few to some teams early on?
