Great documentary. Make sure and watch the extras on the DVD, especially the part where they test to see how McDonalds fast food decomposes compared to fresh food. You'll never look at their french fries the same again!

Yeah, I watched it last night as well. Definitely makes me want to watch what I eat, but it's not like I thought that fast food was healthy before that. And the stuff about the lawsuit against McD's was failry weak, I thought (thought Spurlock took one part of the opinion out of context).

I thought it was absolutely stupid....The guy is a freaking drama queen & what he is doing is insane anyway! I haven't seen it in a while, but I remember thinking about how unrealistic the movie was....he wasn't just eating McDonald's or fast food. He was purposedly trying to eat as unhealthy as possible...yeah, no wonder he got sick!

There are alot of things in that movie that are one sided.... but overall the message is still the same, fast food is not good for you.

I dont blame McDonalds at all. Everyones lined up in the drive through to buy the food and yet its McDonalds fault. If you dont want Super Size... say no. Theres no gun to anyones head

blame the lazy/competitive American way. When I went to Europe I got half the amount of food no my plate. Here in the states, the more you get the better ratings and customers come to sit down and eat a meal.

that and it also falls back to the hormones in our foods.

In the end it is our fault.... we go to fast food resturants, we order, then we complain they made us fat!!! CRAP, no they didnt make your car payment so that you could drive there on their insurance, and they didnt shove the food in your face.

I understand some people have a problem with weight but dont complain about it if your shoving a Big Mac in your face as you moan. I just wish people would take some personal responsiblity for their actions in this day and age.

Its not my fault, I couldn't help it, what was I supposed to do?? ALLL CRAP!!!!! Just weak people looking for the easy way out.

* as a discalmer to this rant, I do understand there are certain times and situaitons where this attitude is due but in general I think its way overused and abused!!

sure do, or ride a bike

goes right along with my "lazy american" theory.

They might sue GM, Ford, Cabs and the transportation systems next

true. at one point the guy went on some tangent about getting mcdonalds to stop poisoning our people, but why would they do that because they have no duty to the public (and yet he thought the lawsuit shouldn't have been shot down?), but the duty is to the shareholders.

apparently getting people to stop buying the junk food didn't cross his mind.

I thought that the documentary was ridiculous (if not kind of funny). If you didn't know that fast food was bad for you, then you are not the brightest person in the world.

Maybe I should make a documentary where I take an excessive amount of shots and then complain and blame liquor companies when I get sick. No s*** you get sick, you aren't supposed to take that many shots! I feel the same way about fast food.

Amen. I felt like he was preaching down to me. "Oh, I feel so bad. But I have to sacrifice myself to teach all of the stupid commoners about their self-destructive habits."

Plus he threw up in the beginning of the movie because a quarter pounder meal was too much for him to eat. I know I officially lost respect for anything he said at that point.

I wonder if doing something like eating Subway for every meal would have the same effect. Anything in large portions is bad (that's where they say too much of something is a bad thing)
