Well, we tried to keep it a secret as long as we could, but to be honest, we've been dying to tell you about the bun we've got in the oven. We'll soon be welcoming a new addition to the Google Docs & Spreadsheets family: presentations.

First of all, we want to welcome the team from Tonic Systems to Google. Tonic, which we've just acquired, is based in San Francisco and Melbourne, Australia. They have some great technology for presentation creation and document conversion, and it will be a great addition as we add presentation sharing and collaboration capabilities to Google Docs & Spreadsheets.

I love Google Docs and Spreadsheets. I use it all the freakin time. This is awesome when it comes out :gig:

With Google Docs & Spreadsheets, you can:

Use our online editor to format documents, spell-check and more.
Upload Word documents, OpenOffice, RTF, HTML or text.
Download documents to your desktop as Word, PDF and more.
View your documents' revision history and roll back to any version.Plus, since it's online, you can:

Invite others to share your documents by e-mail address.
Edit documents online with whomever you choose.
Publish documents online to the world, or to just who you choose.
Post your documents to your blog. http://docs.google.com/?pli=1 (http://docs.google.com/?pli=1)

I like because I can edit a paper almost realtime with somebody and not have to be there or send tons of emails.

We do all group projects this way :gig:

Being an engineer, their spreadsheet program doesn't have half the capability that I need it to. I really wish they had this for group projects though when I was in college.
