Not participating because of injury: (Maroon) OL Lee Grimes, DT Red Bryant, DE Nick Fusco, LB Misi Tupe; (White) FB Chris Alexander, DE Chris Harrington, LB Johnathan Haynes, and WR Weston Benoit.
that sucks

chris harrington had some surgery done earlier- was in a sling when i saw him last- Red still recoverin from his stuff i guess- no point in riskin injury for a scrimmage- pretty sure chris alexander had surgery as well
but lee's surgery was really recent -within the past 2 weeks

I think the Maroon is better on offense, but the White is better on defense.

that was my first thought, but i think the maroon is more better on offense than the white team is on defense...

Honestly... that could be said both ways......
The A&M defense while it made improvements last year is still 2nd fiddle to the Offense..... This year the Defense still has a lot to prove.....
They would need to be able to stop the run better (for 4 full quarters instead of just the 2nd half) & they will need to show that they are past the "Bend But Don't Break" part of their reconstruction under Darnell....
Last year they would bend until they were in their own 30 or 20 & then stop the other team... I would like to see them make more stops at mid-field & on the other side of the field... something we didn't see alot of last year..... Primarily because of 1st & 2nd downs... They improved on 3rd Downs, but not so much on 1st & 2nd downs.....

Maroon has the edge I would say in "big names."

White wins, easily.
With Lane and Tarrant, they win the time of possession battle and wear out the maroon team. Jerrod Johnson makes a few spectacular plays for Maroon, but can't win due to constant pressure from Kellen Heard and Mark Dodge.

Lets not forget that the White Team also has Franks who has been the WR making the most noise in Spring Practice....
