He also likes tech & I think he would fit greatly in their system. But he'll be in B/CS tomorrow at Kyle Field to watch the Maroon & White Game! :gig:

You know guys I don't really want that guy. We have too many good and GREAT running backs so far. This used to be Linebacker University, and I just wish we'd get some hot shots at more positions. I heard a pretty strong rumor that Goodson might get passed on the depth chart next year. That's great that we have such talent, but I wish we could use some of the recruiting power we got to develope other positions. I know we are a running team and our defense is slow, but surely we can get better talent at WR and CB. Not saying we don't have some decent athletes, but no all BIG XII players have just been jumping out of anywhere. Even at our best positions we are not #1. I would get more excited about a 4 star reciever/safety than a 5 star running back.

WR's in Highschool will sign with A&M when they see a QB that find the open WR.... if McGee can show he can do that, I am sure A&M could find one to sign with A&M...
If not McGee that would fall on JJ to do it. Alot of current WR's in Highschool who might look at A&M, will 9 out of 10 times look at the QB position 1st to see what the school has to offer.
As for CB.... CB's are developed more than anything... that position has more flops as far as Star Ratings go, than any other position on the field simply because they are at a disadvantage against most WR's they face from day 1..... Same thing with Safeties......

You are hearing a rumor that Goodson will get passed on the depth chart? Please explain this to me! First off, what is that based off of? Secondly, by who? Thirdly, why wouldn't you want another RB just because we have some good ones on campus now? And lastly, just because we take a RB doesn't mean that we don't have room for more WRs & CBs.
Sounds to me like someone is just trying to stir the pot on a Friday!

I'm not trying to stir the pot. It just happens I guess.
In any case, in response to pumchavas28 I have to say I think you are giving way too much credit to a current QB as a WR prospect recruit. As far as flip flop stars ratings for CB and SS, I wouldn't know. My point is, we need a much better all around team (at every position). We could talk about the line too. Believe me, we aren't dominating anyone on either side of the football. It's a shame that TTech is getting better talent than us in several areas (although not nearly all) and beating us in Football games, Basketball games and even Baseball games. I would just like to see some all Big XII players in Football soon. It doesn't look like it's likely either with all these mediocre recruits. Doesn't that upset you?
In response to Dustin00whoop, I don't really want to say my "source" by name because he's just a guy who is close to several players on the team. And he's not my best friend or anything. I don't care that much if someone gets past up, just seems like a scholarship waste to have people who don't play more 4 years or even 3 because they get passed by the 50 backs recruited. We obviously don't have room for anyone because our recruiting class has been tiny. I want better players, and we deserve MUCH better talent and coaching.
You can jump on me and tell me how I'm wrong and all that, but the fact is I personally think we need some real national talent.

I am sorry but I disagree with that comment 100%....
ttu uses a gimmick offense to compensate for their lack of talent... If anything they might recruit a WR here or there that is better than what A&M might bring in but that would be the end of it.... But because of that gimmick offense (Which no one else likes or uses) that is what helps them level the playing field....
In basketball ttu is not fielding better talent... had they been fielding better talent then they would have had a better record & had been seeded higher in the dance..... Their "W"s over A&M were do to A&M not playing up to their potential & not so much as to ttu having better talent....
In Baseball I can not comment much on that since I don't watch or follow the sport at any level, but I will throw these 2 cents into the hat on that issue.... A&M is 28-7 (6-5 in conference) while ttu is 22-13 (5-6 in conference).... if ttu had better talent it would show since better talent equals a better season......

Don't want to over hijack this thread & turn it into a A&M/ttu thing, but I would also like to remind folks that to ttu.... playing A&M is a bigger deal for them than it is for Aggies....

You can disagree all you want. I agree Tech runs a gimmick offense, and that they are crap. Still they beat us in the games and get rating higher in recruiting.

Goodson was a national recruit. And this class will not be a small class--we'll sign 25 guys in February. Learn what you are talking about before speaking next time.

Pretty much.....
I wonder, since ttu recruits better athletes overall.... or are rated higher, why is it that when you look at their recruits they are competing against KU, bu, & UTEP.... while A&M is competing against tu, OU, LSU, ND, Miami & USC.....
