I wish we would give our starters/2nd team their own unique number. Looks like J-Train is also making the hit on that poor tu QB.

Agreed......
If anything 3rd string players should be the one's doubling up on #'s....
I also didn't like it that Matt & Stephen both wear #7.... Last year several web sites & radio folks from outside of Aggie Land kept thinking that Stephen was the one missing FG's...
Also some idiots actually thought for a while that Martellus was playing CB also...

Then they should flip a coin for it....
How come McGee couldn't have #7 when Carter was here, but Matt can wear it despite McGee still being at A&M?
Hell Martellus gave up #3 for Mike....

you cant have the same numbers on the field- one has to be offense & one defense

What if Justin, JJ & Ryan all got hurt & McGee had to hold kicks for Matt.... What then....
#7 holding for #7... :wow:
But I know the rule.... It's just irritating to see players on the 1st & 2nd team sharing a number...

I might have to buy it because the way we finished off games last year, it might be awhile before the next one. I hope not but I expect better.

it's just as bad when they pronounce it "marcellus" on national TV or call it Kyle Stadium:mad:

I heard Brent Musberger call it Kyle's Stadium.... and he really put an emphasis on the "S" after Kyle.....

I like the print.
The rule allowing duplicate numbers is actually quite new. You used to not be allowed to duplicate numbers for players who would actually play. That is why players also generally didn't change numbers (Johnny Holland was a QB when he came to A&M for example).
Numbers below 20 are hugely popular among players of this generation. I don't have an issue with it myself but I can see how it can cause older fans issue (my dad for example) as they are used to seeing one set of numbers only.

The only big difference is the back ground..... The other 2 had the back ground of Kyle Field & the Ags were in their Home Uni's....
I think for the new one, the Lone Star Showdown Logo or a big State of Texas pic behind the Ags would have been a nice touch...
But aside from the back ground there isn't much difference...

I actually like the new one best. It's much less busy in composition. The background of Kyle Field looks a bit out of perspective.
Plus the game was a win and Goodson's image looks tight.
