Yeah, my friend was telling me about this. He said that the guy turned himself into the US Marshals. I'm sure he will just call up some of his women and they will get on the Marshals and all will be well.

Why would you take this kind of risk when you already had so much. Rich people are so stupid.

Obviously I am very intelligent.

Paying taxes is not required by law as long as you opt out of it!

Yeah, we can see how well this is workign for Wesley Snipes and his accountants. They are currenlty in court over that one and are going to lose.

He obviously didn't file the proper paperwork! I haven't had the balls to try it yet, but I have quite a few friends that have paid tax attornerys sh*t loads of money to research it & they swear its the truth. And they are making in the half million $ range & haven't paid taxes in over a decade!

Without getting too much into it (because I don't know enough about it yet) it goes back to the founding of this country. The basis of taxation without representation. Essentially, we are all agreeing to pay taxes unless we state otherwise. There is a method for you to enact a opt out of paying taxes strictly on the grounds of not being taxed without having a voice!

I'm not going to go into it anymore because I don't know enough about it at this point in time. But one of my buddies is going to get me all the material, & I'll give you more details as I read them.

IMO, if you decide to opt out of paying taxes, then you should not be allowed to take advantage of any tax funded program (i.e. military protection, social security, college grants, fire fighting, police protection, medical research and drug creation, etc.). I agree that a lot of tax dollars are wasted on worthless things, but many of them we benefit from on a daily basis and take for granted.

When did we lose the right for representation in this country? We still have people called "representatives" that are elected, by the people that pay taxes, that decide what the taxes should be.

You can't opt out of paying taxes that is just outright false. Get the details on that program and I'll go through them and destroy their little scheme. I'm certain there are some gaping holes in their logic and misinformation in it. If this was really true why do you think that everyone is not doing it?

my dad did a lot of research a few years back on taxes and ways to potentially get out of paying taxes. supposedly, from what i understand, technically, the only people who are "required" by law, maybe tax laws i dont know, are people who actually work for the government..... policemen, firefighters, military personnel, government authorities, etc. it is hower, basically impossible to get out of paying taxes though because everyone has been paying them for so many years just because that is what you do. you live you die and you pay taxes. my dad was also telling me about one guy who fought this till the end..... at some court trial he was asked what his date of birth was and his response was, "i dont know, i was far too young to remember the day i was born." what he was implying is that much of the information on our government records is heresay. just thought yall might find this interesting to add to the discussion.

EDIT: obv a typo, jeff.

it's hard to tell when you type a real word that sounds like what it is supposed to be... a lot of people have heard things in a different way and just don't know that they're wrong... i have been caught on a few of those as well

If certain people are doing it & they have been doing it for a considerable amount of time & what they are doing is illegal, then why aren't they behind bars. Gay Survivor guy doesn't pay his taxes & he is in jail within a year. These people have been doing it (some of them for decades) & haven't had the slightest bit of legal trouble. And like I said, its not like these are just your average middle income people. They are making in excess of 500K a year!

What we need is a national sales tax. Imagine getting all of your paycheck instead of Uncle Sam robbing you before you even get it.

I don't know about opting out of taxes but I would like to opt out of social security.

as an additional bonus it also make people who fall through the cracks with the IRS (tax cheats, drug dealers, prostitutes, criminals, tourists, etc) pay taxes, which they don't now under the current system.

yes. most definately. I think a lot of peoples problems with illegal immigration would be allievated if the people that were here illegally were paying into the system that they were benefiting from.
