This is a part of a letter from a career military friend (>25 years) who is currently over in Iraq/Afgan:

DONT trust anything you see on the news to be fair, accurate or relevant. Once again the liberal journalist and politicians are bent on seeing America lose a war. Other than seeking a Pulitzer or gaining election clout, none of them dare step foot into the reality of a war that is brutal and ugly without blaming America. They refuse to hold accountable the morally debased animals who kill in the name of a faux god. We get all the major cable networks and broadcast stations and I get ill watching most of it. Even the Stars and Stripes is clustered with AP releases that predict doom and gloom. The hypocrisy applied to definitions free speech, American values, and constitutional rights would be laughable were it not so dangerous. The only way we can lose is by deciding not to win.

I'm sure most of the military people on here will agree...it's just sad to hear...and know that it discourages men/women who are over there fighting...

Ever since Vietnam the press has been a pain the soldiers ass... Never for them always against them. It's pathetic they do not realize those soldiers are willing to die for the press' right to push that crap out into the world. But such as life you never hear the whole story only 1 side and its pretty sad in my opinion.

I believe in freedom of press yadda yadda but do not demoralize those who fight for those freedoms!
