reading his info, he sounds like a great candidate. might not be 1st on some people's lists, but seems to have a good amount of potential.

He's not someone I really knew about, but looking at his info I think he'll be a great fit.

He's got a ring and had a good mentor in Larry Brown. I think for the crunch we were under...he's got a lot of potential to lead us where A&M basketball has never been (the Elite 8 and beyond)...

He appears to have more disciplined dietary habits and a wife to keep him grounded. So far, so good. :gig:

I'm guessing good hire. Ask me 2 years from now.
Reasons:
- Good track record in a pretty good basketball conference.
- Wichita Kansas is in KANSAS. Recruitment might have been tough.
- Young yet experienced. I like young coaches for basketball.
- Not an alien. **IMPORTANT**

i was expecting "good hire" to win, but not 26-0
that's probably the most lopsided poll we've ever had

Also.... i'd like to add this about Turgeon...
Over the last 4 years.... His teams have won an average of 21.5 games over that time period. His teams during this period have gone to the NIT 3 consecutive years and the NCAA Sweet 16 last year. This past season, his team was ranked as high as #8 with a 9-0 start before going on a string of tough games. He did this with only five 3 star players out of the 15 he has brought in over the past 4 years. The other 10 players were not ranked by Rivals.com. Not to mention that the facilities he had at his previous school will pale in comparison to what BB is having built for the mens Basketball team.... He will be the 1st coach to use those facilities & will also be able to use the "NEW" label as a key part in recruiting kids & them being the "1st" class to use them...
I think he is a good hire. He has a lot of success at many different levels as player and coach. He has won a NC and that's what the Aggie's need to get us to the next level.:gig:
