Walkup said he understood the move but still was left a "little frustrated," by Gillis-pie, who had "made me feel confident that he wasn't going to leave."
"He kept saying to trust him and that's what I did," Walkup said. "He seemed to be a man of his word, but I guess something in his heart told him Kentucky is the place to be.
"If he feels like Kentucky is his place, all we can do is support him. We can't hold grudges - we can be disappointed in him, but can't hold grudges."
"I don't know whatDeAndre's plans are," Carter said. "What he wrote back to me was he appreciated me looking out for him. Until he decides what he's going to do or until he leaves, he's my teammate."
