Just to present another opinion out there (since we never hear the other side of the story)...

edit: you'll have to just follow the link to a google video page because the media tags don't work for this.

Can someone post a general thesis or maybe a short synopsis on the movie. I won't have time to watch it for awhile.

yes, Al Gore is wrong an is telling the country lies. Global warming is not caused by people but climate changed is rather caused by the sun. ALOT of smart people saying the global warming scare is a bunch of crap.

It's always funny when people misspell "a lot" ;)

Both sides are true, and both sides have embelished their side of the story. Global warming does occur naturally, climate changes are normal, we will go into another ice age eventually, but humans are speeding the process up.

I agree with everything you said except for the part about, "humans are speeding it up." The models that are currently used to predict global warming do not include the effects of clouds. They are currently modeling earth as though clouds didn't exist.
This is highly problematic for two reasons. First, clouds reflect the suns energy thus cooling the atmosphere. Second they are composed of the most ABUNDANT GREEN HOUSE GAS on the planet, water vapor.
I also have never heard and explanation for why most of the warming in the last century took place before the industrial revolution.
I am a researcher and feel that global warming has been overblown because a lot of people want research funding and it has become a highly funded area of research.

But the industrial revolution started over 200 years ago in the 1800's, not the last century.
True that water vapor is the most abundant green house gas, but water vapor does not stay in the atmoshpere for years and years like carbon diodixe does. So the more carbon dioxide we pump into the atmosphere, the warmer the earth is going to be, even if it is just 1 or 2 degrees over a hundred years.

Yes, but co2 emissions pre WW2 are miniscule compared to the co2 emissions post WW2. Sorry, I guess the term "industrial revolution" was not correct. I should have said that most of the warming ocurred before that economic boom.
One thing that the man made global warming theory is not not able to explain is the cooling trend that happened from ~1940 until ~1970.

I think one of the reasons the issue of global warming gets so blown out of proportion is that people don't realize that ages in temperature like ice ages are measured in thousands of years, not decades. I think even in the coldest of ice ages, there were periods of a few years where temperatures acted a bit out of whack. I think that was the case in the years between 1940 - 1970. like I said before, both sides are right and both sides are wrong. Kinda like how I feel about the whole creation vs. evolution debate.
But I also think it is something that we cannot just ignore because the media and the propaganda scientists that work for them are trying to convince us that Global Warming will be the worst thing to hit the human civilization since the black plague. But in truth, even if we were not here, the Earth would be warming up anyway.
