A coach close to BCG has listed these as he 2 reasons he left
1) practice facility = felt that it was going too slow
2) academics = felt the lack of curriculum diversity and getting athletes into the university into an appropriate degree program was an obstacle. That was highlighted in the Antoine Wright interview with Bob Costas when he said he was in a class with a couple of football players and a bunch of farmers.


Sounded like #2 was a lot more of an issue than #1.

i watched the few few minutes he talked and didn't hear anything about A&M. he thanked the uk players for coming to the press conf. i just kept laughing while seeing that sheeit eating grin on his face. the same one that i thought he had cause he was excited to be at A&M. guess he is always like that.

Don't forget that A&M in the past has a good history of winning, so we have never been maybe like uk but if I remember Duke was nothing before coach K and look what Billy Donovan has done at UF. Also Shelby Metcalf won more games than any other SWC coach and we were a good basketball school. So it's not like that A&M was never a winning program before like some of ya'll are saying. It's what you do when your here. Donovan took UF to a powerhouse in about 6 years and he even turned down the uk job even after 4 starters are going pro. He can care less about uk's past championships, if I remember right where in 2007 and A&M latly has been better than uk.

Did you expect him to say anything about A&M while at a UK press conference? Its not like he said any nice things about UTEP during his A&M press conference. That **** eatin' grin on his face during the press conference sure got old quick.
