As we all know the Rivals Top 25 is a joke but good ol' Andy has us at #21. I think we should be higher but oh well, rankings are close to useless anyways. Thoughts?

only if huggins stays. heard rumblings yesterday that he would think very hard about the wvu opening if it was presented to him. i believe he has ties to that area, but not sure what.

a preseason poll two days after the end of the tourney?

we haven't even had the late signing period or the nba draft....

i suppose katz has to do something for the next six months.

These polls always come out. I would say that 21 is a pretty fair estimate for us right now. It is pretty encouraging to lose our all american and our #3 guy and still be considered at top 25 team. Shows the strides that our program has made in the past few years.

I agree...this is a decent start. Besides, i don't want to be Top 10 to start the season anyways...too much pressure. I think we play better as the underdog anyways.

I agree with that.. but if BCG is as good as we will be paying him, & as good as we all hope he is... eventually within the next 2 to 4 years A&M should be a consistent Top 15 team with all that pressure of being hunted...

Polls dictate where you are seeded in the tourney to an extent & being ranked higher could equal an easier 1st or 2nd round match up for A&M... Kinda like what Florida, UNC, UCLA & Ohio State all had...

While I think it sucks, I think it will change dramatically once we re-sign BCG and the season gets closer.
