You grew up an Aggie fan, but they don't recruit you at all. Texas, however, offers you a full-ride to come play for them.
Obviously, substitute A&M and Texas for your team and your rival. Would you accept the scholarship?

Man Vly, that's a tough question, because I hate all that is longwhorn, but the rational side of me prevails. If you love playing football, and a school, any school, offers you the chance to play and a free education, you take it. So you play for the sips, but secretly root for the Ags, ;)

What about T+1? What would you do? Try and beat the Ags?

Well the way I see it, they gave you a chance when the Ags didn't so, yeah to try your hardest to win, but at the same time you stare at the swaying crowd from the sideline, you admire the fierce loyality they have for their team, and the energy they project on the field, then you envy how no matter what they always cheer, never boo. Then you think about your crappy fans, ha,ha, ha, but at least you got a chance to play and a free ride. :p

If it was me, I would definitely go to Texas and every game I would give 100% and when I played A&M I would give 200%. As much as I would secretly love the fans at A&M, my goal would be to send a hush through the crowd. Make them wish they would have offered me a scholarship and show them what they are missing.

Absolutely. It comes down to someone giving me a chance vs. being snubbed.

That happens all the time. The last big one probably was a quarterback at Purdue.

Absolutely give 100% to the school that gives the offer. Being a FAN at a great school doesn't compare to being a PLAYER from a crappy school. And even though we hate them, they are not a "crappy" school, just a comparable one that represents the things that we happen to hate.
It's easier for me to say though, because both my parents went to UH-Clear Lake so I never grew up with a college loyalty. I got to choose for myself.

Not unless I was gay or had dreadlocks, or both.

I would try and walk-on at A&M, be the 12th man. If that didn't work to go to JUCO and keep my options open. There is no way I would ever play for Texas.

Of course I do.
Playing D-1 Football would have been a dream of mine.
