There are rumors flying around that Goodson is Bigger & Faster....
If true... DAMN... can't wait to see what he can do against another team....

He was pretty skinny so I can see the bigger

its semi rare that a athlete/football player gets faster
bigger I could see. He was pretty small and lacked some size, but hey he was a true fish
If he takes the weight program serious this kid could be a 1st rounder EASILY in the next couple of years

even if he's bigger and stays the same speed... that'd make me smile :)

I don't necess care about speed...it's more about the quickness that I'm worried about him losing.
J-Train has speed (not goodson speed, but close). Goodson's x-factor is vision (shouldn't lose) and quickness...his quickness gets him the extra yards...speed just makes it so no one can catch him ONCE he breaks away...
it would all be moot w/o quickness.

agreed other than I dont think J-Train and Goodsons speed are even close
We're talking about a 4.6 *high* speed vs high 4.3
But the X factor is for sure quickness. Goodson gets up to top speed about 3 steps after getting the ball... I bet his shuttle times are amazing

I think the one thing I like most about MG is his ability to change direction in a heart beat...
Case in point... long run against bu & 3rd & 9 against tu on opening drive where he jukes the hell out of a DE.

Lane doesn't need to bother himself with speed. He is as fast as he needs to be. His strength is the ability mow over defenders.

point being...they're SIMILAR...
the difference on a 40 between 4.3 and 4.6 is close...I agree Lane isn't blazing fast...but he can haul...(especially for his size).
goodson's quickness & vision is what gets him the breakaway runs...then AFTER THAT...he turns on the jets.
Lane uses power to make his long runs...expending more energy...so that's why you don't see him on many "break aways"...

Goodson is amazingly quick and fast. He is a super player, one of the most talented Aggie backs in some time.

props to Goods for bulkin' up...
went over to some sip sites and saw that J-Ma Charles has added 20 lbs. of muscle while bringin' down his 40time as well
...it's amazing what you can do during the offseason when you're not stoned outta your brain in hippy-town
