Rough start...gave up 3 in the first. But we put up a 6 spot in the 2nd. We only have one error through 3 innings, so maybe they have decided to start fielding the ball again.
6-3 bottom of the 3rd.

Bad news is Thebeau started and went 1/3 of an inning before being yanked. He walked two, gave up 3 runs (2 of them earned) on one hit! Going to have to rely on the bullpen for 9 innings to pull this one out!

6-5 game in the 7th. Nicholson in. Don't know what that means about the starter for tomorrow. I guess RC decided he better try & get this win today! Man, we sure do miss Chambliss!

I actually read that Scott Migl was the projected starter for tomorrow before the series started. I figured that was why Childress but Starling in in the bottom of the 6th instead of Nicholson so that he might still be able to pitch tomorrow.

WTF is up with our defense? Seven freaking errors last night and 3 more tonight. That is ridiculous.

Yeah...I think the E6 was more of a bad call than an error because Spencer Jackson kept his foot on the bag, but it still wasn't a clean throw. Errors are killing us. It's like watching little league.

:gig: We have got to try and win all our home games this year because our play on the road is still giving us problems.

Although I am not an expert, I think that it is somewhat normal to see a lot of errors in a college baseball game. It's probably due to the fact that college students have a split focus and a giant gap in practice and training time. It's no surprise very very few college baseball players come close to making the big leagues, and even fewer have solid careers.
Take for example, the Cardinals and the Mets played the very first game of the mlb season. Out of the 18 players who participated in the 1st inning, only 5 went to a university.
Paul Lo Duca - Arizona State
David Eckstein - Florida Univeristy
Adam Kennedy - Cal Sate - Northridge?
So Taguchi and Moisis Alou went to schools in Osaka and Canada. Albert Pujols played for a Community College in Missouri before being drafted.

Good win yesterday. Sounds like a weird game though after reading the write up in the Eagle. Taking 2 of 3 against any big 12 teams is not too bad. We do need some sweeps of the lesser programs to get back in the conference race.

No joke! Usually if a guy gets a lot of ground ball outs, it's considered a good thing but every time a ball is hit on the ground my heart starts racing because we've been so shaky lately.
And I love Blake Stouffer...I love his bat and I love his speed, but he's really not a third baseman. What did he play last year? I know we don't really have a true third baseman, we've got a ton of shortstops and Hicks is too good to move. I liked the Brodie Greene experiment at third on Tuesday. I know he had two early errors but he also made a couple of really good plays. I'd like to try that again, just to see how it works. Maybe against Tx State.
