i know mack brown has always recruited early like this, but since when have we followed the trend he has set... i've been looking around and i can't find any major football program that has more than 3, 4, or 5 commits... a lot of them don't have any or just have 1 or 2...

we have 19 and t.u. has 17... what gives??? :undecided::undecided::huh::huh:

the biggest thing is i think fran smartened up and figured out this is how you land big recruits in this state(especially with ou o-st & tu all fightin' over everyone here)
and i also think offensive players are likin' the whole rush for 200, throw for 200 style...that spread em out and run em offense is attractive for athletes

Basically what will happen is this... it's like a 2 fat guys trying to walk through a narrow door...

Once A&M & tu have all their committs lined up, neither school will worry about their recruits switching.... Ags wont become sips & vise versa....

The only thing both schools will have to worry about is OU.

OU is the biggest threat at getting A&M's or tu's recruits to switch & turn on the universities.... Well more Bob Stoops than OU, but you know what I mean...

Once A&M & tu have filled up all their letters.... both rosters will be 98% gauranteed & nothing will be a secret...

What in the hell are you talking about?? Didn't he coach in Texas for several years before he snuck into College Station?? Remember this con man coached at SWT and TCU. If he is just figuring things out, then we are in trouble. Another reason why this guy is a bad fit at TAMU. I'm now campaigning for Mark Price at UTEP. He is a winner, you just need to keep him out of the tittie bars.

This is the 1st year Fran has been able to get the # of big time commits that he has. YOu do realize that Rivals isn't exactly A&M friendly....

How else do you explain the disparity between, ESPN & Scouts vs Rivals grades & rankings they gave A&M players....

The two that jump out at you are us and Virginia Tech. Maybe rivls does not like maroon? Then again ESPN does not have OU ranked and Oregon lost a bunch of spots so maybe they don't like schools with an O on their helment.

It is just funny that we are in the top 15 in one poll and 39 in another. How is their that big of difference? The rankings for the most part have been close save a few schools so how is one school so different? I do not agree 100% with the rivals conspiracy but sometimes they make you go hmmmm. Also WTF was up with Holland getting a third star today? I guess he has looked great since the championship game? He deserved a three star a long time ago, so that is just some more rivals BS.

I do not think this class is top 15 worthy nor do I think it is worse than a top 25 class. More than likely it is a 20-25 class. It could have been a lot better if we did not miss as much as we did. The class was a disappointment in some regards, ie oline and db but a suprise in others DE, LB, athletes.
