it's a scientific fact that girls can't track moving objects as well as guys... and the faster the object is traveling the more of an advantage the guys have... this is a good reason why this is a bad idea

I don't buy your "scientific evidence" support...I'd have to see it first (and haven't even heard of such)...sound like kind of a urban legend, or baseless stereotype...but regardless...I have always contended that if someone is worth their merit, can do a good job, let them do it...regardless of color, sex, etc...

that being said, there are other factors such as lowering the standards (just to provide defference to "equal opportunity") of which I am ademately (sp?) opposed to.

If she can do the job w/o any of the standards being lowered...good for her!

Now a woman commentator is something I will have to get used to though...I personally would have to lower my standards.

I haven't heard that particular scientific fact before, but I imagine it would mean the average girl can't track as fast as the average guy. Just like the average man has greater upper body strength, it doesn't mean every man has greater upper body strength than every woman. She might be an exception to the rule and even more qualified than some of the men out there. Seems like she has experience, why not give her a shot in an exhibition game?

they had a show on the discovery channel probably a year or so ago that talked about the differences between men and women... they talked about how men are better at some things and women were better at others and how they complemented each other... the tracking moving objects was one thing that I vividly remember from the show... another part of the show was set up to prove that women are better at multitasking... they gave people a list of things to do and timed how long it took them to get all of the things done... all of the women beat all of the men... it was the exact opposite for the tracking moving objects... all of the men beat all of the women...
