Would have to be Texas vs. OSU.
Others: Clemson for us, CU is at Miami, OU is at UCLA, and Pitt is going to Lincoln.
K-State has a brutal non-conference schedule this year.

I'd have to vote for Baylor at home against Samford (not Stanford).

Another hard one is Colorado @ Colarado State.
A road game, rivalry game first off is tough for CU

Wow, I think Tech and Kansas should get awards for the most chicken**** nonconference schedules of 2005.
Tech:
Home against Florida International
Home against Sam Houston
Home against Indiana State
Kansas:
Home against Florida Atlantic
Home against Appalatian State
Home against Louisiana Tech

You forgot these:
Baylor:
@SMU
Samford
@Army
Oklahoma State:
Montana State
Florida Atlantic
Arkansas State
Kansas State:
Florida International
@Marshall
North Texas
Missouri:
@Arkansas State
New Mexico
Troy
Also Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Iowa State and Nebraska each have only one decent OOC game.

Baylor, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Iowa State, Kansas, and Nebraska have all scheduled one D-IAA team. That is a disgusting trend.

The funny thing is Baylor and Kansas do it to make sure they get atleast one win

Yeah -- our non conf is pretty pathetic. But you have to remember, so was our showing for the last half of the season last year. I would like to see more interseting games, but also like seeing wins...

Structural, even though I make light of the easy schedule, I can in some ways understand. Our BB team took that approach last year and come conference time it did wonders for their confidence level. With the new coach staff at OSU this may be just what the doctor order to facilitate the transition. Of course it is all serindipidous (sp?), because who would have known a coaching change was coming.

Miles had the team on the 'K-State' approach. Book cupcakes soon and often. Oh well. It worked well this year. Now there is talk about trying to schedule Tulsa every year (used to be that way). Every once in a while would be good, but not every year...
At least our non conf this year is not full of 'directional schools' (northeast-southwest tech school of the blind) or teletubbies (LaLa - Louisiana Lafeyette)...

Some small schools like to schedule a non-existent in-state rivalry with a far superior team. Rice seems to always play Texas, Memphis plays Tennessee every year, and it looks like Tulsa is about to do the same thing with y'all.
Also, MarylandAg, good point about A&M basketball last year. We went 10-0 against cupcakes and the boys went into Lawrence expecting a win. It was a 1-point game with 15 seconds left and we ended up losing by 5. The 10-1 Aggies then raped the #9 Longhorns in the best college basketball game I've ever seen.
