Kobe may be a ball hog, and a player people my age refuse to believe is as good as Jordan, but damn, dude just went for at least 50 for the fourth game in a row.

He scored 60 last night and he is just as good as Jordan. If you remember Jordan was the same way until he finally became a leader and worked on getting his team involved and started to listen to Phil Jackson. Until Kobe does that he won't ever be like Mike but Kobe does have the same skills as Mike.

Michael Jordan made the Chicago Bulls better. Kobe Bryant make Kobe Bryant better.

Shaq won a title without Kobe. Kobe will never win anything but scoring titles.

If he doesn't get 40+ they lose. If Kobe develops into a true leader the Lakers will win it all again

I'm not a big Kobe fan, but Shaq won a title with Wade, not by himself. If Kobe had a supporting cast, he wouldn't have to score 50 a night to win.

Shaq went to the finals with Penny Hardaway. He won a championship with Kobe. He won a championship with Dwayne Wade. What do all these championships have in common? Shaq. Any team he plays for immediately becomes a title contender. Wade is out for the season and Miami is still winning.

If Kobe wanted a supporting cast, he could still have one. When you look at a player, you have to factor in what he contributes and what he takes away. Kobe is the reason that Shaq, Phil Jackson and Karl Malone left the Lakers. Jerry Buss's daughter was enough to lure Jackson back, but Kobe will never share the spotlight with a future hall of famer again. Why? Because he doesn't want to. Kobe is the superstar on his team. That is his priority.

He wouldn't "have to" score 50 points to win? He WANTS TO be needed that badly. Kobe is the reason that the Lakers are no longer contenders. They will be destroyed in round 1, again.

I agree with Loftin....

I haven't seen anyone on a Championship Team "HAVE TO" score 50 points a game....

Once Jordan realized that, he won 6 chips...

Kobe is out for himself....

So if Miami was in the Western conference, they would be a contender? They are only 5 games above .500 in the East. There are at least 5 teams in the West that are better than any team in the East. Put Miami in the West and they don't even make the playoffs.

The Heat are above .500 against the Western Conference. They are a contender, and the Lakers are not.

i think physically Kobe is better than Jordan but mentally Kobe isn't close to Jordan. Overall I think Jordan is more of a complete player than Kobe

Todays game is different then when Jordan and Bird played. If the old timers played by todays rule they woulda averaged 40 easily

I think Kobe is a better offensive player than Jordan, I don't think Jordan could ever go for 81 points, but Jordan was a better winner. I don't think Kobe gets the six rings with the players Jordan had. Saying that, Jordan didn't have to face Dallas, Phoenix, and San Antonio either. Jordan's greatest competition was the Knicks under Ewing, who wouldn't be one of the ten best teams today. Today's players are bigger, faster, and stronger, and Kobe is probably the best of the players today. Transport him to 1989, and it would be crazy what he would accomplish.

If the Lakers were in the East, they would be in 1st place, not a few games above .500. I don't even like Kobe and the Lakers, but I am forced to defend them against your stupid arguements.
