...Rick Barnes is a more acomplished coach than BCG and therefore Kentucky should call him first.
Rick Barnes? More accomplished? Discuss.

Barnes has taken 3 teams to the tourney right? Did all 3 make it to the Elite 8?

More accomplished = Yes
Better coach = probably a yes for right now because of what he has done in the past but BCG is gaining very quickly.
I guess I am blinded by my love for A&M.

I agree Rick Barnes is more accomplished and should be contacted by UK. Texas will implode becuase they won't be able to attract a big name coach.

Wouldn't that be nice.

IF Barnes went to UK, I guarantee you that a "big" name would take the Texas job. And why wouldn't they. The reality is that Texas is a prestige job in of itself.

Barnes is a great recruiter, but a sorry coach.

Barnes would be great for Kentucky. After a few years, he would be chewed up. Kentucky is the "Port-a-Let" of basketball schools. Their expectations are: undefeated every year and national championship every year.
If you want to go somewhere to coach and die, then go to Kentucky. They wore out Joe B. Hall, Rick Pitino, Eddie Sutton, and Tubby Smith in just the last few years. That job caused Sutton to start drinking real heavy and we all know how good of a BB coach he was.
No matter what a coach does, he will never be appreciated or cared for in Kentucky. That job gives you absolutely ZERO job security.
