Just saw this link posted on hornfans. Its a link from scout.com by a guy named Jerry Taglienti who is predicting us to go 10-1 in the regular season with a win in the bowl game. I'm as optomistic as the next guy, but I think this might be a little extreme. Anybody know anything about this writer?

People are getting more and more optimistic and the off season goes on...

A&M could go 12-0, we could go 7-5. My guess is that we'll end up somewhere in between.

I wish. But would I stick my neck out and predict that? Nope.

Either way...I say good publicity for the Ags. I didn't erad the whole article, but in all actuality 10-1 is very doable. As is 8-3. It just depends on if the Ags show up for every game and don't take a week off like at the Baylor game last year.

I think if we can show up and make a statement against clemson, then 10-1 in very doable. However, if we lose the clemson game, i think 8-3 is more likely. I just think if we start off with a good showing out east, we'll go into the tech,ou,tu stretch undefeated. That 3 game stretch is as up in the air as anything. I think we beat the ever living fightin texas aggie hell outta tu at home this year, but the tech and ou game are a little nerve racking to think about.

Yeah, surprisingly, Tech is scarier to me than OU. I think we can contain AP...it's the pass happy Tech Offense that scares me (especially if their D is improved)

Agreed. I bet OU loses one from either Tech or us. They without a doubt will lose to Texas this year.

I think OU has a better chance of losing to both us & tech than they do of losing to t.u. There is just something to say about knowing that someone owns you, & Ol' Yeller & the sips know that stoops owns them. I don't see them changing that this year. OU has so many unknowns at this point that I don't know what happens in that game. AD is going to be good & we'll have to stop him to have a chance, but how much are we going to be able to focus on the run. If they can't find a reliable QB, then stopping AD won't be near as tough. Tech is always scary--especially in Lubbock. Just going to depend on how well we make up for losing Mayes & if we can stay away from injuries in the secondary. One or two DBs going down could hurt a lot, but it would kill us against the sand fleas.
I think the Clemson game is going to be just like the Utah game last year (hopefully, not the same results) in setting the tone for the season. Just like Utah last year didn't make or break our season, Clemson will be the same way if we happen to lose. However, a win will set the tone for not just a successful season, but rather a stellar one. A win at Clemson & I think we lose only 2 games, at most. All non-conference games are wins. All Big XII North are wins. And we lose 2 games out of tech, OU, & t.u. That would be a helluva season.
