LEXINGTON, Ky. -- A hostile crowd. A big shot. A season on the line.

All in a day's work for Acie Law.

The Texas A&M point guard whose cool demeanor earned him the nickname "Captain Clutch," did it again. Law took over late and led the Aggies past Louisville 72-69 Saturday in the second round of the South Regional.

The third-seeded Aggies (27-6) reached the round of 16 for the first time in 27 years, surviving a raucous Rupp Arena crowd.

Nice read....

Marlon is the Horace Grant of this team. He's always there doing all the stuff nobody notices yet we couldn't win without.

Of course Marlon doesn't wear those janky rec specs but it would be a lot cooler if he did.

I want to give Marlon props for hitting 4 free throws in a row (before he missed his next two). Those were big free throws and were very unlike him...but he played well while AK was on the bench.

I think he actually may be my favorite player on the team. He just seems to grind away and do the dirty stuff. I've always liked that.

Marlon deserves a ton of credit for out last two wins. He may not be getting the press that Acie and Kirk are getting, but his defense, key rebounds, and couple of baskets have been huge. Without him, we would have not advanced.

he's been my favorite for a couple of years. My next dog is destined to be named after him

I'll be the first to admit that I was not a huge Marlon fan the last couple of years. He would take too many shots that he shouldn't take, miss too many FT's, etc. However, the guy is playing like a stud this year. No way we are where we are w/o him.

Yeah, I'll admit, I'm still the guy who cringes every time he gets the ball 20 feet from the basket....

I'm thinking "PASS IT!" but he handled the ball well vs Louisville and if he does that against Memphis, I promise never to think that about him again.
