heres a good question. I say Gibsons homerun to win it all in the 88 world series. Guy blew out his knee the night before and could barely walk.
YouTube - kirk gibson gay song, immortal homerun.

my runner up is doug fluties pass at bc or cal running over the band

i think that the gibson homerun was one of my earliest memories as far as great sports moments.... i was only 9 at the time. for me personally (and i am sure i will get a lot of crap for this) but for, mcgwire's homerun to break the season homerun record was my favorite sports moment.

i like the mcguire pick. i would say the whole homerun chase that season and not that specific homerun though.

watching sir parker score the winning touchdown against k-state in the '98 big xii championship is a pretty good moment.

Except that wasn't Sam Casell that hit the shot. Vernon Maxwell was the one that his the three that put the nail in the coffin for the Knicks in game 7.

For me personally, A&M winning in overtime in the big 12 championship, and I was at that game. I think outside of my favorite teams though, Joe Carter hitting the series winning homerun for the Blue Jays is probably my favorite moment in my lifetime.

Historically, that's not important to anyone but Aggies. As an Aggie, that ranks as one of my favorite all-time moments.:gig:

I will say that McGwire's 62nd HR is one of the few sports moments that I can tell you exactly where I was & what I was doing when it happened.

Sirr Parker scoring the TD against K-State is one of the others.

Only thing a head of it in my book is watching Gamble recover the fumble aganist tu my senior year and we beat tu after Bonfire went down. That was a special day.

I almost scored 4 touchdowns in one game. I had 3 already (2 receiving, 1 kickoff return) It was the 4 th quater we were playing Lake Travis and I caught a slant on our 45 yard line and was gone only to get tripped up from a diving Lake Travis player and I fell down on the 4 yard line. Coach wouldn't throw me the ball he let the running back take it in. I was pissed. I would of had the Burnet record for the most TD's in a game. If I would of got it, 7 years later Jordan Shipley would of broke it because he scored 6 in one game.

This may not be considered a "great sports moment", but it is one that I will always remember where I was....1989 earthquake during the World Series.
