I agree with you partially on this, they don't know Shelby Metcalf is or what he meant to A&M, but they know who he is and what he does. They've met him they've seen him they would recognize him if he were alive and well and he passed them in the hall.

it is amazing the transformation that it appears a person takes when someone finally questions the ideas and knowledge that he/she has always thought to be true. everything will be ok though...having people challenge your information and ideas makes you stronger.

as for D's comment being a joke...and other posts on this site....it is quite possible and also probable that your perception is a tad bit skewed and that's why you don't see things that others see.
