Anyone notice that every year these become less and less exciting? Whats the deal? Im guilty of this aswell. They just dont seem as exciting as they use to be.

I've noticed the same thing, but CFB seems to have not skipped a beat.

I thought the same thing when I post this. NCAA has it right for the most part. (not trying to have this hijacked with "we need a playoff system" either)
But every year the ratings and buzz for the Championships for pro sports gets worse and worse
I have a hard time remembering who the champs are

yep, pro sports suck more and more each year. seems like the leagues are focusing less and less on the actual game and more on other things like advertising, etc.
The finals of each of the three major pro sports are over comercailzed. However I find true enjoyment in watching college football over profootball. Perhaps I remember more about those final games because I care about the college game more.

BCS > Superbowl,
March Madness > NBA Finals

I would put it: March Madness > BCS > World Series, Super Bowl > NBA Finals.
Granted, I'd like to see us win a National Title in football, but I look forward to March Madness more than the BCS even when we aren't involved.

College Football is the best sport, yet has the most unfair postseason.
I put the others like this:
NBA Finals > March Madness > Super Bowl > World Series > College World Series
Of course, I love football and basketball and am bored by baseball. Everyone has their preferences.

any suggestions on what the leagues could do to get the ratings back up? Get us interested again?
Im thinking the NBA needs to get rid of the hip hop/prison style image *as per ESPN's Jason Whitlock*
MLB has the issue with BOS, NYY and NYM buying up EVERYONE. They need to make a change there some how.

Personally I always thought that the Texas Highschool Football Championships were the best...;)

NBA needs to not let wealthy teams disregard the salary cap by paying a luxury tax. This way, the Lakers, Pistons and Spurs won't be good every year.
The MLB needs a salary cap, so that parity can exist.
The NFL needs to make players shut the hell up and play.

world cup > march madness > college football > nba finals > world series > superbowl
I have grown so tired of the superbowl lately, maybe since there is never a team I want to root for in it. Also it seems like they make such a huge deal about it, but after the first kickoff, it just seems like an anticlimactic regular season game.

I'm sick of them winning. David Robinson gets hurt one season, and they get Tim Duncan(and therefore 10 extra years of being a contender). Luckiest franchise in America...

Lets not forget all the teams that passed up on Manu & Tony... other teams could have drafted them... because as good as Tim is... he couldn't do it alone & he needs Manu & Tony as much as they need him.....
3 headed monster... it's not all Tim...
Although he does help! ;)

I can't argue that. Manu and Tony Parker were genius picks that turned out to be steals.

Lets also not forget all the wonderful guys we've taken in the draft to make one of the best benches in the league.
SA Spurs are VERY deep. We know how to picke'm
Ya gotta look over seas. Fundamentals and defense baby!

The NBA needs to do away with guaranteed contracts. These guys get these phat contracts, half-ass it for 4-5 years until their contract is up for renewal, have a great year, get another phat deal...repeat cycle.
The NFL needs to get rid of the prima donnas. Those guys that think its all about them ruin it for me. If it wasn't for fantasy football I don't think I would even care about the NFL.
I'm okay with the way MLB is....if anything, they need to decrease the number of teams. Pitching is so watered down its not even funny. But we all know that won't happen.

For weak teams I agree, but there are some teams who have players who really want to win... Dallas, SA, Miami, Detroit, Phx....

And those teams also have guys that are drawing a paycheck & not doing jack sh*t. All teams have them, just some teams have more than others.
