Yep, no problem. Keon Furtch is considered one of the top safeties in the state of texas. He's listed as an athlete because he's played many positions with his speed and size.

Good to see some recruits come in for the secondary. That area is a need for us.

Furtch
Furtch, who wasn't able to make the trip to College Station for Junior Day, said he had been considering committing to A&M for several months before finally deciding to pull the trigger.

"This is something my mom and I have talked about for a while and she said she didn't want to me to rush anything, but I told her that I think I'll take the offer from A&M," the highly-recruited safety prospect said. "With (Fields) getting an offer, that just helped me decide that A&M's where I want to go."

Furtch said that he called coach Dennis Franchione and told him of his decision.

"I didn't get to talk to him very long, but he got excited when I told him I was committing," Furtch said. "He said, 'Come on, be an Aggie.'"

Furtch said that A&M's facilities and atmosphere played prominent roles in his decision to commit.

"I really like the facilities. They're outstanding," he said. "Also, I've always wanted to go to a Texas school...I feel like I'm welcome there."

Furtch, who said he had received "eight or nine" scholarship offers from schools like Oklahoma State, Nebraska and Arkansas, said he would consider taking other visits but didn't know where.

"Right now, there's nobody else," Furtch said. "There's just A&M."

----------
Fields
Fields, who was in College Station for A&M's Junior Day, received his offer from assistant coach Bob DeBesse before heading to Reed Arena to watch the Aggie basketball team take on Missouri. It didn't take long for him to accept.

"I wanted to (commit to A&M) from the jump start. This is what I wanted from the beginning," Fields said. "This is what I wanted and what my mother wanted. I feel like I'm at home here and I can make a career here."

Fields, who the Aggies are recruiting as a cornerback, said A&M's academic programs and fan support were major reasons in his commitment.

"(Fan support) was a big factor. We don't get a lot of people coming to watch us back home, but here, there will be 80,000-some people in the stands every game," he said. "Just thinking about it is really exciting. The crowd at the basketball game is loud; I know that football's just going to be incredible."

Fields, who has received interest from other Big 12 schools including Baylor, Nebraska and Oklahoma, said he didn't have trips to any other schools on his radar screen.

"Right now, I'm not thinking that I'll take other trips," he said. "I bet this'll be it."

I'm not wild about the way Furtch seems non-committal on taking other visits and how he said "right now" there's nobody else??
