Well, a bigger jump that I expected, but back to unlucky #6. We passed Memphis, UNC, and Pitt. Kansas jumped all the way to #3! Also, the sips moved up 5 spots to #15.

These polls mean absolutely nothing. It is worse than in football, because the people who vote have no way of seeing even half the games and are voting on pure stats they read in the paper. Plus, teams that have a bigger tradition of winning are going to get the benefit of the doubt and the vote. A&M will be there soon enough. We just need to keep taking care of business on the court and we will get a better review by the pollsters.

We have a more recent loss than KU. Also, KU has been raping every opponent since their game with us. Right now, they are a slightly better team to voters. We'll get our chance with them again if we make it to the finals of the conference tourney.

Everytime we have been #6 in the coaches poll, we have lost at least one game that week. There was one week when we were #6 in the AP poll when we did not lose. So, if you are a superstitious person, then you should be afraid of our games this week.

I have no problem with KU being number 3, and they are probably playing better basketball than any other team in the country right now. I would not like our chances against them at the moment. They have pretty much destroyed everyone they have played since losing to us and their game against Nebraska may be the most impressive game played in the big 12 this year.
