Nowadays Tommy Johns surgery can make your arm stronger. And after reading up on the gyroball I think that I used to throw something similar to it when I was playing around. I just couldn't throw it hard.

i dont see anything that will change the game with that pitch by watching the videos. all it looks like is a variation of a slurve.

It is apparently real. A new pitch from Japan. If it exists, it would be the first new pitch in 40 years.

It's already been discussed here. It doesn't exist but people are trying to do it. Supposedly Matzusaka throws it but he just laughed when asked.
