One Matt Jones fumble... made the difference in that game. If he had held on to the ball Arkansas would have won 23-22 on a FG.
What difference does it make?
1. Texas would have played in the Cotton Bowl, losing to Tennessee and minimizing Vince hype. Their final ranking would be no higher than #12.
2.Texas A&M would have played Arizona State in the Holiday Bowl for an easy bowl win. Our final ranking would be no less than #20.
3.Arkansas, a fun team to watch that is underrated, would have a 6-5 record and been bowl eligible.
4.Texas Tech would have been the unlucky team to lose to Ohio State in the Alamo Bowl.
