Man, that f-ing sucks. What in the hell has it come to when we lose a recuit from the Houston area (& a player that could come in & play from day 1) to okie light!

Guess Gundy sold him images of golden streets and banners with his name on it.

OSU does very well recruiting in Houston. We have for the last few years. The guys at OSU do a great job of selling the university to the recruits. Just continues to roll that way. I guess Bobby Reid was a big part of this decision.

Actually, Morency being gone opens the RB spot wide open for a blue-chipper. At A&M and USC he would have had to wait at least a year. I don't like that he picked OSU, but it might be the best place for him so congrats to the Cowboys.

he wouldn't have had to waited at A&M...at USC he would've. At OU, he wouldn't have, and at OSU, he could've started this year. :D
So, congrats to the cowboys.

If Courtney Lewis is a redshirt junior in 2005, then Goodson would have had to wait one year here. Having to compete with Latriel Cooper might have also been a factor, but I think Goodson should be better.

Lewis would be a senior when Goodson could've redshirted (and then started all 4 years)...so technically, he could've waited, I was just saying he wouldn't not start all 4 years.

The funny thing now is that over on TexAgs.com they are saying he is no big loss since he was going to be nothing more than a 3rd down back.

Am I the only one that saw this Goodson kid last night and thought he looked really f'ing scrawny? I hadn't seen him previously and when I caught a glimpse of him I said to my wife, "THIS is the guy we want?!?!"
My money says he gets hurts this year. Not that I want him to get hurt, I just think he will.

Yeah, he looked like he had more of a WR body. If you watch the video Vly posted in the other thread you can see him actually play WR a few times.

I'm just not that upset by the loss of this guy. Snead hurt more in my opinion.

Right..... All 4 star recruits are third team at best at A&M.
It's too early to take anything too seriously recruiting wise right now. That guy may not only bail on us but OSU as well. He has 7 months to realize that he could be surfing in Southern Cal banging some hot California blond. It's far from over from that guy.
I have faith in Fran and Co. He got us a great class last year with an average season and a Cotton Bowl loss. Once the machine starts winning it is going to be freaking awesome! :gig:
