Stop with the damn whining. We got beat because Jackson was the best player on the court, and we couldn't stop him the whole game. It wasn't the refs (we had a huge FT advantage), it wasn't the last 20 seconds (we're not talking about that if Acie doesn't hit one hell of a shot to tie it).

We got outplayed for the entire second half, mostly because of Jarrious Jackson. That, and in case you haven't noticed, Bob Knight is one hell of a basketball coach.

Good game to the Tech players. At least when they win here, we're classy enough (I hope, since I wasn't there) not to throw anything at them as they leave the court.

Kyle is right. The refs called a good game for the most part. bad calls both ways. Jackson was on fire the second half. Even we had of went into OT, I still think Tech would come out on top. Remember we lost AK, and Kirk at the end. After this game I think the next one that will be a struggle will be at that stinky place, Austin.

Which of the 4 games we've lost this year are you talking about? The one against LSU where we were never really in it and lost by 12? Or the game against UCLA that was back and forth all game, and we lost by 3. Oh, I know, the game against Tech in Lubbock where we were tied at the half, up by as much as 5 in the second half, and lost by 2?

We were up by 11 at the most in this game, and Tech just wouldn't go away. I hate to give any Tech team credit, but this team played like we love our Aggies to play. They didn't give up, they wouldn't go away, and they won because of that.

We didn't lose this game in the last 20 seconds. We lost it because we played poor defense inside the paint. A&M has owned teams inside the paint and Texas Tech was driving in for easy, uncontested layups in the 2nd half. We were up by as much as 11 in the second half. We gave it up with poor defense inside and lack of ability to convert on the offensive side.

Jackson was hot and the Tech players made good shots at good times. It was bound to happen (lose eventually). Regardless, we are still the #1 seed in the Big XII because of tie-breaker rules with Kansas. Let's get ready for OU Saturday and take the last 5 games one game at a time.

They killed you guys from the three point line again tonight. Not as bad as the game before, but still close to 50% from the arc. That will get you every time.

The bottom line is that there's not one team in the country that is so good that it can't be beaten on any night by a halfway decent team lighting it up from the arc.

Tech's done it to you twice.

It's simply one further argument why, in spite of the fact that so many people love it, I think the NCAA is a lousy way to decide a champion. It's to easy for a better, more athletic and talented team to go down just because one guy can get hot on one night.

It is exciting. It is also very bad basketball. The quality of NCAA games just completely sucks today.

And the only reason that so many teams appear to "deserve" a chance is because a three point line at the top of the key helps teams like Tech knock you guys off.

A tournament is a fine way to decide a champion. But college basketball needs to push that line out past the top of the key and start making teams play defense instead of getting away with fouls.

If you watch a college basketball game today, the defenses that teams have to play are completely screwed up because of the way they have to defend the three point line.

I really had seen about enough of this in games we played against WVU. It's just unnatural to give an extra point for every trip down for a shot from the top of the key.

It will make a huge difference. Just pushing it out to the international line will make a huge difference.

A lot of these guys have range that is just limited right now to about where the three point line is. That's a pretty average jump shot in the NBA.

Watch the way WVU and some teams play offense some nights. It's nothing but a series of screens (usually moving) right at the top of the key and the arc to open someone up just enough for a three pointer.

That is absolutely unnatural. It is not the way basketball was supposed to be played.

I agree with you Cali. The 3 pt. line does need to be moved back. Remember the original ACC 3 pt. line-the one before the NCAA adopted the 3 pt. shot? It was even shorter than the current one. :laugh:
