Just want to drop by to say congrats on a good game. We battled and battled to the end and couldn't give up. You were too much for us to handle. Congrats and good luck against Tech.

And at the same time, sorry to hear about the loss of Metcalfe. He'll be missed.

Man, y'all just wouldn't go away. Y'all got some talent but your O reminds me of a Melvin Watkins offense--not a lot of work inside or perimeter guys driving to the hoop. I hope that isn't Doc's philosophy & its more because of the talent on the team. The 3s kept y'all in it & our 3s kept us up. Y'all have some shooters, I just think you need to teach the team to take it to the hole. Its kind of like us in football...I don't care if you can throw it 65 yards, the threat isn't there if you don't ever do it. Y'all will be a tournament team in 2 years, if not sooner, if Doc changes his philosophy. Y'all have a good coach & great players.....you just have to put it all together.

It is unfortunate that we don't have players that drive the ball inside the hoop sooner. Alecs Maric was so key to our 11-3 start. I don't know where he has been since. He has been driving the ball inside at times, but couldn't finish them. The reason why we were down 43-9 to KU at one point is because of our team's inability to drive the ball inside. Taking the ball inside the hoop is where our upsets take place. That's also where more ballgames are won. Taking one too many three point shots will come back to bite ya in a big game and taking three point shots will not work every game. If I was Doc Sadler out there last night, I'd say to my players, the MOMENT we start to get cold from beyond the arc(2 or 3 straight misses from beyond the arc), we need to drive the ball inside the hoop more. We had a streak where we stopped you guys for 5 or 6 straight possessions and only 3 points out of those stops for us. The reason being is because we can't go inside the hoop and take too many three point shots. Against a top 10 team, you gotta chip away at a 10-13 point lead two points at a time. Not driving the ball inside and taking too many threes is the reason why we've lost some momentum from that 11-3 start. Hopefully Doc will get us some players that can drive the ball inside the hoop more. The one thing that I like about this team is the heart and the "never give up" attitude. I think with that plus recruits, we'll be in the NCAA tournament in 1-2 years. The Big 12 schedule doesn't favor us next year though. But hey, as long as we can compete, we have a chance. Just gotta make those adjustments.

He server on Billy Gillispie's staff at UTEP, so I'm sure he's taken a lot of his coaching philosophy from BG. If so, that'll explain the never quit attitude and I think that will mean good things for you guys down the road. He's learned from a good one. ;)

That's what I like about the hire. With Barry Collier, when we get down 11, 12, or 13, we just thrown in the towels and call it quits. Doc Sadler isn't going to let that happen with our team. We're going to go out there and compete each and every game.

NU, Sadler going to get some talent in there, and you guys are going to improve. Probably pretty dang quick.
