Internet Video of Players More Important to Recruits than Fans
Videos of other recruits on the Internet are helping players decide where to go.

Today’s high school player is better informed of what his competition might be before his first college practice, because of the videos he can see on the net of the players he will be competing against. Some commitments realized that they have made a mistake in their oral commitment, when they can readily see the competition before hand. The result they decide to go someplace else.

I believe the kids are looking at it. Just my thoughts. :) There is some discussion that it is happening.

It may be a factor, but there are several other factors in a recruit's decision, and some value other factors over immediate playing time (ie less competition)

You want the studs that think it doesn't matter what the competition is, because they feel they are just better and will be the better players.

Do you want those that don't want to compete? I don't think so. Those are the ones that had it too easy in HS and want it the same way in college.
