Derrick Hall (reletive of former A&M RB Dante Hall) wants in at A&M... I hope Fran offers this kid....

Beaumont Central's Derrick Hall (http://tamu.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=51338) can do it all.

He started all season at safety for the Jaguars and split time at receiver and running back on offense.

However, no matter where he was, his impact on Central's fortunes was unmistakeable.

During the season, Hall rushed 50 times for 513 yards and four touchdowns and caught 19 passes for 334 yards and six more touchdowns.

Central missed the dynamic Hall in the playoffs after he broke his leg and ankle in a first round win over Barbers Hill. Even then, he had an 84-yard touchdown run before the injury.

And there's no doubt where Hall wants to spent his college years.

"I'm trying to get to A&M," said the 5-foot-11, 190-pound Hall. "I like the fans. I have never really been to a college game until I went to the A&M-Oklahoma game last fall. The fans are awesome. It's not far from home. I know people like Billy Chavis (http://tamu.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=42272) (2007 commit to A&M) and Dravannti Johnson (http://tamu.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=54925) (2008 commit from Nederland). Brandon (Williams, 2007 commit from Central) is going there."

Hall is scheduled to attend A&M's Junior Day this upcoming Saturday and there's no doubt what he'll do if the Aggies offer.

"I'm going to take it hands down," Hall said. "That's what I'm waiting on."

I'm not saying that you're wrong, but how do you know they are related? Dante was from Aldine. This guy is from Beaumont.

Cause the article said they were related...

Hall is even related to Dante Hall, the former 1,000 yard rusher for the Aggies who's now one of the NFL's premier kick returners with Kansas City.

Gotcha. See, you need to quote that part in your original post and I wouldn't have this problem! :)

he's wearing an okie state shirt in his rivals profile

More reasons why we should do the Tech/A&M game @ Dallas...to keep OSU from "stealing" our good Texas recruits.

Who cares? He is wearing that shirt b/c they probably just happened to take that picture when he was at one of their camps.

Actually that is the reason why he is wearing that shirt...

If you check out Johnson's profile (Our #1 Recruit SO FAR) he is wearing the same shirt...

It's no biggie... He could wear yellow sunflower shirt for all I care, as long as he tears up anyone A&M plays on Saturdays.

i know, but don't they (the athletes) send in the pics to Rivals (I may be mistaken but thought that's how it worked)?

it was actually an overall comment on how it seems OSU is cracking its way into TX & seems to be getting some steam...

Can you see the tide turn where ou, tu aren't as big of factors on the schedule as nu, osu, cu?

Nope... don't see it like that at all... OSU & OU have always recruited in Texas, even Tulsa does... it's going to happen... Oklahoma isn't big enough to supply the recruits those schools would need to be competitive....

And nope... Rivals takes pics themselves now... they used to request photo's when the site 1st kicked off, but now they have photographers that travel all over the place to camps & universities to take pics...

The only photo's players send in are the one's of them in their highschool gear.... IE game day photo's or practice photo's...

The rest where you see them in Underarmor are 9 out of 10 times taken by rivals...

ok...maybe it's just because I've really started paying attn to the recruiting game the past two years (especially this year). I know OU recruits heavily, but I guess I wasn't aware of the extent that osu recruits in TX...

Thanks for the info!

cool...i know it was like that (you send in your own pics/videos/etc) when I was in school & it first started out...

Yeah if you go onto Rivals & check out their commits from all the way back to 2002 (As far as rivals goes now), you'll see that they always get kids from Texas, OSU, OU, Tulsa... all of em go for Texas boys...

It's why you see teams from all over with Texas players... you might find some schools with Florida kids, some with Cali kids, but TX provides the most!!!!!
