I rented this movie last night with low expectations. I have to say, it was way, way better than I thought it was going to be. It wasn't a hokey sports movie, and Samuel Jackson was a really good coach in it...if you haven't seen it or was afraid to see it because it looked dumb -- I would recommend seeing it.

I especially liked the part where they were doing warmups and his team was doing that "vengence upon thee" chant, the look on the other coach was priceless.

And then they scattered and Samuel Jackson just stood there. I'm sorry, but he can be pretty damn cool/scary if he wants to be.

My friends hated it while I loved it.

It had some good turns to it and I liked the ending. Endings I didnt see coming are better.

I'm not really a big fan of Sam J. unless he's putting a cap in someone's ass. If he's throwing out bible quotes while he's doing it then it's an added bonus.

Does he go medival on any of his students? That would be rad.
