Yeah.... all the time.... During the Kings/Spurs series I saw em shake hands in the 3 games I saw live... and pretty much every team except Denver & Seattle shake hands with SA.

Are you serious. Popovich whines more than a 2 year old about stuff. During last years western conference finals i think him and his team whine more than anybody i've ever seen before in a series

I am guessing that in a season where you get a technical for whining, that would explain why San Antonio is one of the least penalized teams for that huh...... :undecided

With the new rule SA has kept their mouth shut so you really have not foot to stand on with that argument.

Obviously he hasn't......

If Pop bitches, he bitches at his players.... anyone who hears his radio show will know that.....

Hell a couple of games ago people thought he was yelling at the refs at the end of the game but he said he wasn't he was yelling at Tony Parker & Manu Ginobili for not fouling a player at the end of a game so they could get the ball back....

And when asked about it recently Brent Barry said the same thing about it... all the Spurs who are interviewed say the same thing... that he yells at the players more than he yells at the refs during the coarse of a game....

Just because you see him yelling doesn't mean it's at the refs... 9 out of 10 times it's at the players.... which is why you see the get pulled quick...

Case in point... Robert Horry pissed off Pop last night... so Horry's minutes suffered....

Same thing a few nights ago with Finley...

Pop has chewed out Tim in the middle of a playoff game before.... he's not like some coaches who just take it out on the ref & think their players do no wrong.

Well then I completely take that back if that is the case this year. I haven't watched much basketball this season yet so I wouldn't know if he's been whining this year. I was simply saying that in the past he used to whine like no other, but I take it back if he's turned over a new leaf and isn't whining as much.

But as I said in post after that... most of his complaining is at his own players.... he is harder on them than he is on the refs.... Pop is the type of coach that doesn't care how much you make, nothing protects you from getting your @$$ chewed......

But I will admit this.... back in the 2004 season the Spurs were a bunch of cry babies.... but in 2005 & 2006 they haven't.

Uh, the whining about calls resulting in a T is for the players. The only person in basketball to whine & bitch about officiating more than Pop is Mark Cuban. I never said the Spurs as a whole are a bunch of whiners....just their coach!

I'm a mavs fan, but yes I will completely agree with you Dustin, Cuban does the most whining of anybody. But he's really kind of toned it down so far this season, well I say that only because i haven't seen or heard his name in the news so far this season as much as usual. Pum, man i mean 05 Pop wasn't a whiner. Maybe you need to rewatch the finals. Every time anybody got within a foot of a Spurs player, Pop was running around screaming that there should be a foul called.

In the playoffs all coaches are like that.... except for maybe dude from LA... the Zen Master.. he just sits the whole game & whistles...

I would say that the Spurs and maybe one or two more teams are the few exceptions in the NBA.
