Everyone knows that for Bowl Games in Football Universities get $$$$$.....
Does the same happen for March Maddness or the NIT? If so how much & does it go up each round you advance too?

i think the ncaa gets all the money, but not sure. the reason i say this is the tourney and the nit are owned and run by the ncaa i think. the bowls are their own entities and have their own governing bodies, get the advertisement deals, therefore they can pay the conferences (not necessarily the schools that play in the bowls) all the money they do.

The money that the schools get in bowl games is from the sponsors, not the NCAA.

Bill Byrne explained this in one of his Wednesday Weeklies. The NIT pays out, but we got next to nothing for playing three rounds in it two years ago. We spent more than we made. On the flipside, teams that lose in the first round of the NCAA tournament get more than a million dollars.
