Well I've decided to start looking for my own 25-50 acres to hunt. I'm so sick and tired of having to put up with having to hurry up and log into the Fort Hood system and put up with their crap. Sometimes you get a hunt, and sometimes you are out of luck.
Time to own my own little piece of the American dream. I'm planning on starting small (25-50 acres) then slowly progress up in acreage.
As long as the land is within 90 mins from the house I'm ready to get something.

My g/f told me this weekend she wanted land around Stephenville. I almost proposed.

I gotta be careful because she's definitely goint to be the breadwinner of the relationship. She said I could do whatever I wanted because she'll be bringing in the cash :D

We bought 110 acres just north of Cisco 16 years ago so we wouldn't have to constantly move... worked out well, especially considering it was only $250 an acre at the time due to depressed prices.
Not a ton of land, but enough for 4 or so of us to hunt.

North of Cisco? I didn't know there were many deer around there. We have a quite a few leases between Zephy, Comanche, and Brownwood.

Not huge deer, but there are plenty up between Cisco & Albany. I have a nice 13 mounted on the wall from a few years back.
