Some of our returning players:

QB:
Stephen McGee, Jerrod Johnson

We have our fearless leader that we believe in, and right behind him is the man that most Aggies believe is our future. Jamie McCoy can still play this position if needed. QB will not be an issue for us in 2007.

RB:
Jorvorskie Lane, Mike Goodson, Keondra Smith, Samson Taylor, Cornell Tarrant, Latreal Cooper

Deep position, but the bulk(95%) of the carries will go to Lane and Goodson. Keondra Smith has looked good every time I've seen him play, but that hasn't been much.

WR:
Earvin Taylor, Kerry Franks, Howard Morrow, Pierre Brown, EJ Shankle, Jamie McCoy, Chris Caflisch, Cody Beyer, Terrence McCoy, Antonio Perry
The first four guys I mentioned have tons of playing time uder their belts. The rest are promising athletes.

FB:
Chris Alexander

Solid player at an underappreciated position. I expect him to come up with a handful of crucial plays again next year.

TE:
Martellus Bennett, Joey Thomas
The LOD will be back with another year of experience.

OL:
Yemi Babalola, Kirk Elder, Cody Wallace, Chris Yoder, Corey Clark, Travis Schneider

Lots of experience. I think the OL will be a strength for this team.

DE:
Chris Harrington, Michael Bennett, Cyril Obiozor, Jason Jack, Chris Smith

DE is arguably the deepest position we have. I have no worries here.

DT:
Red Bryant, Kellen Heard, Henry Smith, Paul Freeny

If Bryant stays healthy and Heard cuts down on the personal fouls, we'll be fine here.

LB:
Mark Dodge, Misi Tupe, Matt Featherston, Anthony Lewis

I'd like to see this be the season that Featherston and Lewis break out, but if not, Tupe and Dodge can get the job done.

WHIP:
Brock Newton, Japhus Brown, Chevar Bryson

All three players listed on the depth chart at this position are coming back.

CB:
Jordan Peterson, Danny Gorrer, Marquis Carpenter, Jordan Pugh, Arkeith Brown

Again, we lose no one listed on the depth chart at this position.

FS:
Devin Gregg, Johnathan Batson

Both free safeties are coming back. Hopefully play at this position improves.

SS:
Alton Dixon, Stephen Hodge

Bullitt is leaving big shoes to fill. Hopefully one of these guys steps up for us.

K:
Matt Szymanski

I'd like to see what he can do with FGs if given the chance. I've REALLY appreciated him getting kickoffs into the endzone. That helped us this year more than most people realize.

P:
Justin Brantley, Richie Bean

Brantley is proven, no worries here.

Also, who knows what this incoming freshman class will offer for us. There should be at least 2-3 that break into the starting rotation (there always are).
