As the year winds down

I find myself looking back at the past year in sports. So I decided I'd put together an article about it all and if the staff wants to it can be posted on the front page. But I need help with ideas so I'm breaking it down like this.
For college football, NFL, NBA, MLB I'll do the following:
Biggest surprise
Best play
Biggest story

I'd like to do an overall most bone headed play and most memorable moments too.

Most bone headed play: Not running J-train on 3rd and 2 from the 2 yard line in the OU game. I think if we would have beaten OU and the rest of the season played out the way it did we would have played Nebraska in the Big 12 Championship.

Good one... there was also the Dodgers getting two guys thrown out at the plate on the same play in the playoffs

Biggest surprise = Indy's rush defense & or the fall of Pitt & Seattle after the SB last year.
Best play = LT breaking record...
Biggest story = The Saints

NBA
Biggest surprise = Utah's success & or the Clippers colapse
Best play = Wow... so many... you really can't go wrong
Biggest story = AI going to Denver

NCAAF
Biggest surprise = Wake Forest & Rutgers
Best play = Lane running over 4 or 5 Missouri players
Biggest story = Troy Smith & Ohio State's run....

I would say the biggest suprise about the World Cup was the US's colapse & or being over hyped

Yes USC lost but I would put it up there as my 2nd Favorite play of 2006 behind Lane running over the Missouri Defense...
