Finishes 2nd.

http://msn.foxsports.com/other/story/3733706Armstrong, bidding for his seventh straight Tour victory before he retires, was 2 seconds behind fellow American David Zabriskie on the 11.8-mile course in Western France. The 25-year-old Zabriskie posted the fastest time trial in Tour history, clocking 20 minutes, 51 seconds, to take the yellow jersey as overall leader.
Though Armstrong didn't win, he opened up important time gaps over his major rivals - including 1997 winner Jan Ullrich.

That is badass..... And I'm sure he'll be tested every day for doping which he'll pass.

I hope Lance wins this so we can laugh at the french once again. Plus the leader is American also.

The Tour de Lance continues...

Scenario: Your Lance's teammate and are in 2nd place. You're on the last stage and have the chance to overtake him in the end and win the Tour de France. Do you do it...Or do you play the "team" game and guard for him?

In your scenario, i think team discovery sponsered your ass to let Armstrong win, you pretty much have to. But this is the one year you could be a jackass b/c he's gonna retire and you don't have to worry about him pushing you off a steep cliff on a ride

What Polish said, you are paid to protect him and allow him the victory, your chance will come next year. However, in the spirit of sport, it would be tough to rein in the competitive juices, when you are that close. I think, Lance himself would say if you have a chance, take it, lets see who really is better, a true competitor.

Then you'll get drug tested like crazy....because France will say you doped even more than Armstrong -- that's the only way to beat him (he didn't dope...that's just what they'll say.)
