This is just a suggestion, if it is a bad one just let me know. I was thinking about how to spread the word about the site and something occured to me. There are several sites that have Aggie pictures, videos, etc. and some of these have links to sites. Here is one example

http://aggies9496.com/

If you scroll down that site it has links to all the Aggies discussion forums I'm aware of, so I thought maybe some one could contact the person in charge of the site and add a link to Aggiefans.com. I myself found this site through a link on someone post in a different forum. I think is was BeltonAg, whose link I followed so that is also a great way to spread the word, as has been mention here before, it spreads the word without being overly aggresive. We coudl just track these different sites, and request permission to add the link on the sites. Let me know if this a good or bad idea. :)

That's an idea, even if it only gets a few people, every poster helps

There are a million ways to promo this site, and there is an A&M blog ring that has lots of members.

Just remember, you are also competing against two other larger forum sites, one of which requires no donations and no payments to access full features, as their admin foot the bill.

It's gonna be an interesting year for Aggieland on the web.

I think I like this one the best.... Texags gets really tedious and Aggieresistance... Well fart jokes will always be funny but we laugh and move on.

Hopefully this site will be really established as a happy medium between the two. Hopefully by football season.

Coolaid, thanks for posting. That is exactly what we're trying to do here. We have no delusions of knocking off Texags as the #1 site for Aggies. We have no problems with Aggieresistance, and don't really view the other Aggie forums as "competition". The way I view it, why can't you post on all of them? You have more people, more topics, and more information. I post on Texags and just joined over on Aggieresistance.

Some AR members have come over and let us know how much they appreciate us (hi Spursfan). I believe Gil is a moderator over there too, but again, it doesn't matter. But again, we're not "competing". I hope they post and contribute over here as I'm sure members of our forums have posted over there.

Our target is people like you, without any hardnosed loyalties and who just love talking about the Ags. This is gonna be a good year for the Ags and a good year for Ag forums...

As for promotion, anything anybody can do would be extremely helpful and much appreciated.
