My sip buddy who has access to Orangbloods just emailed me and said its pretty much a done deal that he is transferring. Destinations include TCU, Houston and Louisville.

If that is true & Colt goes down next year.... who is going to take his place? Harris? Will Mack plug in the freshman for Colt?

Wow. Playing McCoy against us may have been one of the worst decisions of his career at t.u. and there was no valid reason for it given Snead's performance when needed. You can't blame him for being upset.

I've always thought Snead was better than McCoy. This will hurt Texas.

Interesting...I'm not convinced that if he stayed that McCoy would hold on to the starting job for his whole career. I think it is best for everyone if he leaves though. QB controversy is never good for a team.

That's what I was thinking. If McCoy goes down, they may be in a little bit of trouble...

What QBs, if any, do they have committed?

No se, senor.
Either way, they'll be green as can be. And coming off a 9-3 campaign, graduating a lot of people, they may not land the cream of the crop...

That might be why Snead is leaving.

Well... Snead was only a 4 Star recruit....

How pissed do you think his parents were having to watch McCoy struggle against us when their son has already proven himself, but was never given a single series until Colt went out?
I wonder if his INT that ended the game for good was not intentional.....hmmmmm
Pumchavas28

I don't think it was intentional, but I would assume his parents would be a lil upset/concerned as to why their kid wasn't playing...

A 5-star QB isn't bad. :)
They'll be fine without Snead it looks like.

Brantley. Chiles. Harris. The position will be pretty well stocked.

I would never accuse a kid of something like that. He missed a coverage, but I don't think he did it intentionally.
Colt earned the right this season to a rough start. And in fairness to him, the team's struggles Friday weren't all on his shoulders.

I wouldn't.
He had a fair chance at it this fall coming in. Colt was further ahead. You could question whether Snead should have gotten more playing time through the year, but I think that, at the end of the day, Colt needed the playing time he got this year and that helped account for several wins in close games we might otherwise not have gotten.

I can understand that... but this is what I was getting at... I think ya'll would have been better served, by doing this....
Now from Snead's point of view, he has lost a year & will transfer.... Personally... I feel just as bad for Snead as I feel for Jamie McCoy... McCoy has a ton of ability but with the promise Jerrod Johnson shows McCoy has been caught in the middle of McGee & Johnson & is the odd man out & probably a back up for his stay at A&M, that or he too will transfer which I hope he doesn't...
Snead is in the same boat... 2nd fiddle to Colt McCoy & with the other QB's you mentioned he has decided to transfer.

I feel bad for him losing a year, too. But you can't sacrifice a year to play two qb's when one gives you a better chance of winning.
I think it is the guys coming in that has to worry him. If he'd won the starting job this year, he could have fended them off.

Yes, you would, especially in a rivalries forum. ;)

QB is the last thing that we have to worry about next year. With Brantley and Chiles coming and and Harris having learned alot as a red shirt this year Colt will be backed up solidly!

I always thought he was going to end up at oklahoma. I thought he'd be matching up next year against McCoy in Dallas.
